No Time to Work Out? 5 Ways to Work Out Even on Your Busiest Days

In our fast-paced lives, finding time for working out can be a challenging task but certainly not an impossible one.  Also, you need not opt for an expensive gym membership to get in shape and be fit. You just have to be little creative to fit an exercise regime in your daily routine.  Here are 5 ways to work out even on your busiest days:

1. Exercise while brushing your teeth

Try standing on one leg while you brush, make sure to pull in your abdominal muscles tight. This exercise will not only strengthen your core, but also balances and tones your hips.

2. Exercise while commuting to work

Turn your commute into a workout. When you are stuck at a traffic signal, perform deep breathing and commuter crunch exercises. Walk more whenever possible. Park your car at a farther distance, and walk to your destination. If you use public transportation, get off one or two stops early. Your body will thank you for that extra exercise.

3. Exercise in the office

A workout in the middle of your work keeps you fit as well as increases your productivity. If you have a desk job, get up from your place and take a 5-minute break after every hour. Climb the stairs instead of elevators, stair climbing is a great way to strengthen and tone your legs. Do push-ups against the desk while you are waiting for a call.

4. Exercise while cleaning your home

Cleaning your home is a great way of moving and burning calories. Vacuuming, cleaning windows and mopping floors can burn up to 250 calories per hour. Put on your favourite music to make this task more interesting.

5. Exercise while cooking

You can do squats while you sauté and calf raises while you chop! They are great for your calf and leg muscles. Counter-top push-ups are also effective for chest, back, and shoulder muscles.

Finding an hour or two to perform an extensive training programme is not realistic when you are busy. However, all the above-mentioned exercises can ensure you a decent workout at the end of the day.
