Cricket is a way of life for many youngsters in India. It is the most popular sports played in schools, universities, and even in building compounds. However, not every kid can afford to go for professional coaching and play on training grounds. In view of this and in an effort to nurture cricketing talent and aptitude among youngsters in India, Grace India Sports Pvt Ltd and Fitness World, along with Gautam Gambhir foundation is organizing IJPL T20 – a biggest cricket talent hunt for U-18 boys on in India.

Star Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir is the brand ambassador of the IJPL T 20. He recently unveiled the tournament at a press conference in Delhi and hailed this talent league saying, “It is the chance to graduate from ‘Gali’ cricket to playing with the capacity crowds”.

Tournament Details:

IJPL T20 is a performance-based cricket league, which will be held from 10th Dec – 30th Dec 2016. Aspiring youngsters who wants to be a part of this league can register their entry online by paying a fee of INR 5555/-. One can also download the registration form and submit it along a fee of INR 5555/- at the nearest Axis bank.

Registered applicants will be put through the assessment at a 3-day selection cum training camps which will be held across 22 cities in India. Participants will be evaluated for their batting, bowling and fielding skills alongside attributes like flair and mental agility. Around 15 players for each of 16 teams will be selected in these training camps. The camps will be conducted from 4th Nov to 13th Nov.

Prominent Cricketing Personalities to Mentor the Participants!

Several eminent Indian and international cricketers like Rishi Dhawan, Paras Dogra, Jonty Rhodes, Kieron Pollard will guide and share nuances of the game with participants in training camps. Thus the selection process will in itself a great learning process for budding cricketers. Participants will not only be able to ready their favorite cricketers but also learn from them first-hand.

About 240 most promising candidates will advance to the next level and will get an opportunity to represent their respective city/state teams. This will be the first-ever Day and Night tournament for juniors and all matches of this tournament will be telecasted live on a national television channel.

Every parent who wants to see their son as a successful cricketer must register his name for IJPL T20. IJPL T20 is a momentous platform that aims to identify talented young players residing in urban and rural areas of our country and bring them to the fore.

The 16 teams of the tournament are Assam Rangers, Delhi Dashers, Dehradun Rockers, Haryana Hurricanes, UP Heroes, Punjab Tigers, Ranchi Boosters, Rajasthan Roarers, Kolkata Strikers, Mumbai Masters, MP Warriors, Pune Panthers, Gujarat Greats, Hyderabad Hawks, Bangalore Stars and Chennai Champs.

The winning team will receive the prize sum of INR 21 lacs and the runner up will get an INR 11 lacs.
